PITTSBURGH, Dec. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tollgrade Communications,
Inc. (Nasdaq: TLGD), a leader in the communications test and management

"Tollgrade has renewed this maintenance agreement for an unprecedented
five-year term that we believe underscores the telecom provider's
commitment to protect their investment in LoopCare(TM) network assurance
infrastructure," said Tollgrade President and CEO Mark Peterson. "This
agreement contains the longest extension period for a software maintenance
contract ever received by Tollgrade and we are quite pleased in the
confidence this customer has expressed in our relationship," he added.
In its cable network assurance product line, the Company has also been
awarded a new project with a mid-sized multiple system cable operator
following a competitive selection process for its DOCSIS(R)-based software
and hardware solutions, which will be sold directly to the end-customer.
With deployment expected to commence in the first quarter of 2007, this
project will be the first multiple system implementation of Tollgrade's
Voice-Over- Internet-Protocol (VoIP) broadband testing solution.
"We are pleased to have these agreements in place going into 2007,"
said Peterson. "Additionally, as we continue to pursue potential
opportunities as part of our customary Request for Proposal (RFP) response
process, we hope that our recently-announced international wins will be the
first in a series of potential opportunities connected to new product
trials. Although the market is highly competitive, we believe the RFP
opportunities we are pursuing to-date represent a potential of almost $70
million," he added.
