PEI is a holding company for its principal subsidiary, PG Energy, a
regulated natural gas local distribution company, and its nonregulated
subsidiaries, PG Energy Services, Theta Land Corporation and PEI Power
Corporation.
According to Philip E. Ogren, Director of Information Services, a presence
on the Internet is essential in today's business environment. "With the
challenges and opportunities of a deregulated industry, we're delighted to
offer our customers the advantages provided by a homepage." Mr. Ogren noted
that the advantages include the ability to announce product enhancements
immediately and to respond to customer inquiries quickly and directly.
PG Energy PowerPlus, a new division of PG Energy Services, introduced a
comprehensive package of energy products and services in early October that
includes natural gas, electricity, energy management services and, in the near
future, will include value-added consumer goods and services for the home.
The new website includes product information on PowerPlus, PG Energy, rates,
sales contracts and e-mail access.
Mr. Ogren also acknowledged the superior creative and technical guidance

design team that worked with in-house staff to develop the homepage.
