Agreement Allows Fulcrum To Deliver Full Power Of
           New Knowledge Network Product To Netscape Navigator Users
                           With ScriptActive Plug-In

    OTTAWA, ON, and VANCOUVER, BC, May 27 /PRNewswire/ - Fulcrum Technologies
Inc. (NASDAQ: FULCF; TSE: FUL) and NCompass Labs Inc. today announced a
technology alliance that will allow Fulcrum to distribute the NCompass
ScriptActive(TM) Plug-in product with the Fulcrum(R) Knowledge Network(TM),
commercially available this week, and an upcoming version of Fulcrum
SearchServer(TM), scheduled to ship in June.  The alliance includes a
licensing agreement between the companies and technical collaboration to
deliver solutions to Netscape Navigator(TM) users.
    The Fulcrum Knowledge Network leverages ActiveX to provide a rich client
experience within a Web-browser interface.  The product provides a single
point of access to multiple corporate information repositories, and a dynamic
Knowledge Map so that users see the information sources they have access to,
laid out according to business logic rather than network architecture.
Fulcrum provides an ActiveX-based viewer, to display over 150 document
formats, fully rendered and enhanced with search-term highlighting and
navigation buttons. With the NCompass ScriptActive Plug-in, Fulcrum will be
able to provide the same level of functionality to Netscape Navigator users as
it can to Microsoft Internet Explorer users.
