DALLAS, Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Industrial Technologies, Inc.
(NYSE: GIX) announced today that Donna Reeves has joined the company's
headquarters staff as Vice President and Controller.
Ms. Reeves has been Vice President of Finance and Administration with
Global's Specialty Equipment segment since 1996. Prior to that she was
Assistant Controller for Tax Planning and Compliance at Global. Ms. Reeves
has served as Senior Tax Advisor for Dresser Industries, Inc. managing tax
planning and compliance for joint venture operations, and at KPMG Peat Marwick
where she was responsible for corporate, partnership and individual tax
management.
Ms. Reeves will have full responsibility for the Company's internal and
external accounting, consolidation of strategic and operating budgets, tax
reporting and financial analysis.
Global is a major manufacturer of technologically advanced industrial
products including, premium refractories for lining heat containing industrial
vessels, forged flanges and heavy equipment undercarriage components, non-
ferrous metals refining vessels and industrial tools for the auto and aircraft
assembly.
