Boots & Coots IWC Enters Contract To Provide Extensive Well Control Services for Shell

    HOUSTON, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Boots & Coots International Well Control
(AMEX: WEL) said today that it has signed a Framework Agreement with Shell
International Exploration and Production BV to provide well control services
for Dutch/Shell Group.
    The agreement covers contingency planning, prevention services and
training drills for all of Shell's rigs and platforms world-wide, in addition
to environmental clean-up, well control and production restoration operations
necessary in the event of a well blowout.
    "We are proud that Shell chose to enter into this important contract with
Boots & Coots IWC.  This contract validates the approach we've taken to the
delivery of emergency response services," said Brian Krause, president of
Boots & Coots IWC.

worst case scenario, we can provide the world's most experienced team of well
control specialists."
    Since the personnel from Boots & Coots were joined with those from
International Well Control last summer, the resulting company has employed the
vast majority of  the most senior well control specialists that remain active
today.

unit, in responding to and controlling oilfield emergencies, including oil and
gas well blowouts and well fires, as well as providing a complete menu of non-
