Simpson Industries, Inc. Announces Quarterly Dividend

    PLYMOUTH, Mich., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Simpson Industries, Inc.
(Nasdaq: SMPS) announces that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly
dividend in the amount of $.10 per share.  The dividend is payable March 26,
1998 to shareholders of record on March 5, 1998.
