ST. LOUIS, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- For the sixth consecutive year, the
Historic Shaw Art Fair will be held on St. Louis' Near South Side in the
historic Shaw neighborhood, under the sponsorship of the Shaw Neighborhood
Improvement Association (SNIA). The Historic Shaw Art Fair, a national juried
show of art and fine craft, will be held October 3-4, 1998. Some $3,500 in
prize money will be awarded, including $1,000 to the Best-of-Show winner.
Historic Shaw Art Fair organizers are seeking entries from artists for
this year's fair. Art will be judged in two categories -- two dimensional and
three dimensional. Two-dimensional media include: painting, drawing,
printmaking, photography, mixed media and other fine art. Three-dimensional
media include: clay, sculpture, wood, glass, textiles, jewelry, mixed media
and other fine art. Work may be submitted in a maximum of three media per
artist.
