Eagle USA Airfreight, Inc. Names John McVaney Executive Vice President

    HOUSTON, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Eagle USA Airfreight, Inc. (Nasdaq: EUSA)
today announced John McVaney has been promoted to Executive Vice President of
Domestic Airfreight Operations.
    McVaney, who most recently served as Regional Vice President for the
Company's southeast region, will spearhead the company's North American air
freight forwarding operations.

operations into the capable hands of John McVaney," said Jim Crane, chairman
and chief executive officer.  "His leadership in this area will allow me to
focus more of my resources on international development of our business as
well as other corporate duties, but I also look forward to continued contact

    McVaney, 39, joined the Company in 1995 as a station manager and most
recently served as Regional Vice President for the south region.  McVaney
brings a vast array of knowledge from 18 years of experience in the
transportation industry.  Prior to joining the Company, McVaney served as
regional manager at Nationsway Transport Service, Inc.  Prior to joining
Nationsway, McVaney served as National Account Manager for St. Johnsbury
Trucking Company, Inc. and before that was the President and sole owner of B&C
of New Orleans, Inc., a trucking company.
