(NYSE: CBC) has declared a cash dividend of 25 cents per share for the
third quarter of 1996.  The dividend of 25 cents is an 8.7 percent
increase from the 23 cents per share paid in the third quarter of 1995.
The  dividend is payable on September 13, 1996, to shareholders of
record on August 30, 1996.
