Eagle USA Airfreight Receives Two-Year Contract Extension from 3M

    HOUSTON, March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Eagle USA Airfreight, Inc. (EUSA)
(Nasdaq: EUSA) today announced that it has received a two-year contract
extension as a preferred carrier for domestic heavyweight transportation
services from Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Company (3M) (NYSE: MMM).
Eagle USA will continue to provide air freight services for time-sensitive
shipments, as well as ground-expedited and trade show & exhibition services
for 3M's facilities, customers and vendors.
    Since July 1996, Eagle USA Airfreight has been servicing the 3M account
directly from the company's Minneapolis facility, where a designated staff is
responsible for providing cost-effective transportation and value-added
services throughout the 3M distribution network.  3M's evaluation of on-time
performance, pricing, accuracy in rating and invoicing, and service
flexibility played a significant role in renewing the contract with Eagle USA.
