Infinity Affirms Commitment to Microsoft Windows NT-Based Intel Architecture At Workstation Leadership Forum

Company Demonstrates Enterprise Applications for Trading and Risk Management

SEATTLE, March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- At the Workstation Leadership Forum here
today, Infinity(R) demonstrated enterprise financial trading and risk
management solutions that leverage the power of the Microsoft(R) Windows
NT(R)-based Intel Workstation environment.
Infinity chief executive officer Roger Lang presented the company and its
products during a keynote address by Microsoft chairman and chief executive
officer Bill Gates. Lang's presentation highlighted Infinity's expansion into
the corporate treasury market for senior managers of Fortune 2000 companies
attending the forum.
Lang affirmed Infinity's commitment to Microsoft and Intel standards,
stating, "The Intel/Windows NT combination is one hundred percent
standards-based. It is scalable and high performing, which means our
customers -- who represent the world's leading financial institutions and,
increasingly, Fortune 2000 companies -- can count on it for mission-critical
risk management throughout the enterprise. Intel and Microsoft are enabling
this large and rapidly growing market to innovate as never before."
Charles Stevens, vice president of the Application Developers Customer
Unit at Microsoft, added, "Corporate treasurers and other risk managers have a
growing interest in building high-performance financial risk management
systems that are robust as well as flexible. The combination of Infinity's
market-proven software and the Windows NT-based Intel environment provides an
optimal choice for risk managers and IT professionals."
Infinity presented two products during the event to demonstrate how
Windows NT-based Intel standards are being utilized in real-world trading and
risk management environments:

Panorama: Panorama is a risk management, trading and operations control
system. A native Windows NT and Component Object Model (COM)-based
application, Panorama is the first system of its kind to be awarded the
Microsoft "Designed for Back Office" designation.
Infinity FinEx(TM): Infinity FinEx leverages the power of Microsoft
standards at the financial trader's desktop. Traders can use Microsoft
Excel(TM) to rapidly model the economic behavior of new financial products,
and then manage and consolidate these products in Infinity's risk management
system. The ability of Infinity FinEx to reconcile the conflicting goals of
innovation and control is made possible by COM technology.
