New PCS Vendor to Analyze Key Customer Data in Red Brick Warehouse for
                  Wireless Product and Service Enhancements

    LOS GATOS, Calif., Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Red Brick(TM) Systems,
Inc.(Nasdaq: REDB), The Data Warehouse Company(TM), today announced that
Aerial Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: AERL) has chosen Red Brick Warehouse, Red
Brick's specialized data warehouse relational database (RDBMS), for its
enterprise data warehouse.
    Aerial Communications, a wireless communications provider, chose Red Brick
Warehouse over general purpose RDBMSs because of Red Brick's superior
performance in data warehousing and expertise in decision support for the
telecommunications market.  Red Brick has proven its data warehouse expertise
with other leading telecommunications companies nationwide.
    Aerial plans to use Red Brick Warehouse to analyze and support its
customer and demographic data in order to better identify and market product
offerings and service.  The data warehouse is expected to hold all of Aerial's
customer data, which will be fed nightly from an on-line transaction
processing (OLTP) system.  Housing an initial data set of 100 gigabytes, the
data warehouse could reach a terabyte by year end 1997.  Initially Aerial will
have 20 users accessing the data warehouse, and that number is expected to
increase to 200 as subscriber numbers grow.

phone-integrated voice, data, fax and messaging services, and unrivaled
