             Springboard To Its Asian Operations With Sydney Office

    OTTAWA, Canada and SYDNEY, Australia, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ - Fulcrum
Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: FULCF; TSE: FUL), a world leading provider of
information indexing and retrieval software, today formally launched its
Australian office, and announced the appointment of Mark Reiss as Managing
Director for Australia and New Zealand.

    In the first few months, Reiss will be concentrating on recruiting and
training service partners, system integrators and resellers, under the Fulcrum
Alliance Partner Program(TM).  He will also be developing relationships with
the local operations of Fulcrum's multinational partners, like Microsoft and
Fujitsu.

Government will probably represent up to 60 percent of our business as it
generates an enormous quantity of information which so many people from
different areas need to access.  Proof of this is the fact that our first two
customers are the Department of Mineral Resources and ParlInfo,'' Reiss said.
