COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- John B. McCoy, Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer of Banc One Corporation (NYSE: ONE), announced today that
Jay S. Gould has been named Vice President of Investor Relations for Banc One
Corporation.  He will report to William P. Boardman, Senior Executive Vice
President of Banc One.
    Most recently Gould, 49, was with KeyCorp, headquartered in Cleveland,
Ohio, where he was Senior Vice President and Director of Investor Relations.
Prior to that, he was with Security Pacific Corporation in a similar position.
He graduated from California State University with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Business Administration in 1969, and a Master of Science Degree in
Finance in 1972.
    Boardman said, "We are very pleased to have Jay head our Investor
Relations team.  He has a wealth of experience in this important part of the
financial services business and will be a great asset for us."
    Banc One Corporation had assets of $98.6 billion and common equity of
