Preferred Networks, Inc. Hires Park as Vice President of Sales
                 Markey Moves to Vice President of Marketing

    ATLANTA, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Preferred Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: PFNT),
(PNI), today announced that Gary E. Park has been hired as its Vice President
of Sales.  Gary has 23 years of proven experience in
telecommunications/paging.  From 1992 to 1996, Gary served as a vice president
for Mtel/SkyTel.  Prior to his employment with Mtel, Gary worked for
GTE/Sprint as vice president and general manager.  Originally from Cleveland,
Ohio, he holds a BSE from Kent State University.
    President Michael J. Saner also announced a reorganization of the sales
and marketing department with the move of Patrick T. Markey to Vice President
of Marketing.  "Pat Markey will focus his complete attention to further
developing our marketing strategy.  I am excited about the expanded marketing
activities which Pat will lead and the sales leadership Gary Park will bring
to our organization," said Saner.
    PNI is an outsourcing services provider to the wireless industry,
primarily operating wholesale paging networks, and also offering
engineering/technical services and wireless equipment repair, sales, and
fulfillment.  The company has five of its planned ten Technical Control
Centers (TCCs) in operation.  As of September 30, 1996, PNI serves 18 markets
and 313,270 units in service on its networks or under agency agreement.
Network construction is underway in 26 new markets as a part of the company's
plans to build its 157.740 MHz network nationwide.
