COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan., 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Banc One Investment Advisors
Corporation announced today that Edmund M. Cowart has been named Manager
of The One Group Large Company Value Fund.  The One Group is the proprietary
mutual fund family of Banc One Corporation (NYSE: ONE).  Banc One Investment
Advisors, an indirect subsidiary of Banc One Corporation, is the investment
advisor for the funds.
    Cowart has managed institutional and individual investment accounts for
Bank One customers since 1990, first as chief investment officer for Bank One,
Texas and then as director of portfolio management in Texas and Oklahoma for
Banc One Investment Advisors that provides investment management services for
high net worth individuals, endowments and foundations.
    Prior to working for Bank One, Texas, Cowart was director of stock
research with the Permanent University Fund of the University of Texas. He
began his investment career in 1972 at First City National Bank in Houston.
    Cowart holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Dartmouth College in
Hanover, N.H. and attended the Graduate School of Business at the University
of Texas in Austin.  He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of The
Association for Investment Management and Research and the Dallas Association
of Financial Analysts.  He also served as president of The Austin Investment
Association in 1984 and The Austin Society of Financial Analysts in 1986.
