WILMINGTON, Del., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Electronic Payment Services,
Inc. (EPS) announced the appointment of James Maher as director of client
relations for indirect channel clients, effective immediately. Indirect
channels, which include independent sales organizations, gateway links and
merchant banks, represent an important cornerstone of the EPS strategy to grow
the EFT and POS processing business nationally. In his new position with EPS,
Maher will be responsible for account management and revenue growth through
indirect client channels. He will also have responsibility for sales and
account management for both ISOs and merchant banks at BUYPASS Corporation, a
subsidiary of EPS.
Maher has extensive experience in selling through indirect channels.
Prior to EPS, Maher served as president of Fairway Marketing Group, a credit
card processing firm. Under his direction, the group processed over
$900 million in annual credit card sales through five major banking
relationships. Previously, Maher was director of marketing for Mellon Network
Services, where he managed sales, marketing and support programs for the
company's EFT processing business. "Jim Maher is a recognized leader in the
area of indirect sales of processing products," said John Beahn, EVP and chief
