executive officer, CT&T and CTIC.
"Paul Sands has served the company ably in a variety of capacities for
28 years," said Rau. "In this new capacity he will be responsible for all
operating risk management including underwriting, business and administrative

During his tenure in the Real Estate-Related Services area, Sands was

manager from 1985 to 1991, and as area manager for Ohio, Tennessee and Western
Pennsylvania operations.
From October 1991 through late 1992, Sands was project leader for Project
Nimble Leader, a program designed to better align company support activities
with the objectives of business units. He then assumed responsibility for the
company's Information Services department in October 1992 and was elected
senior vice president of CTIC in 1992 and senior vice president of CT&T
in 1994.
Sands received his bachelor's degree from Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa, in
1965; his juris doctor from the University of Oklahoma in 1968; and a master's
