ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Charles E. Smith Residential
Realty, Inc. (NYSE: SRW) announced today that W.D. "Denny" Minami has joined
the Company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective
immediately. Mr. Minami previously served as CFO of Ascent Entertainment
Group, where he was responsible for an $86 million IPO spin-off of Ascent,
which had been a wholly owned subsidiary of Comsat Corp. He had formerly
served as Treasurer of Comsat.
From 1985 to 1993 Mr. Minami held several positions with Oxford Realty
Services Corp., which developed, built and managed a portfolio of over 45,000
apartment units nationwide. At Oxford, as Senior Vice President, Finance and
Administration and Chief Financial Officer, he played a major role in
operations, strategic planning and corporate financing.
Mr. Minami began his career as a lending officer with The Chase Manhattan
Bank in New York City. He holds a B.A. Degree from Grinnell College and an
M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
