COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Carl R. Ference has joined BANC
ONE CORPORATION (NYSE: ONE) as National Manager of Real Estate Strategy &
Planning, it was announced by Donald V. Freiert Jr., Senior Vice President and
Manager of Corporate Properties.
    Prior to joining BANC ONE, Ference was with NationsBank where he was an
executive with the Real Estate Services group.  While at NationsBank, his
responsibilities included the major building portfolio of the bank's Mid-
Atlantic Region.  He is a Registered Architect as well as a Certified Facility
Manager with 24 years of diversified engineering, architectural and real
estate management experience within the manufacturing and financial services
industries.
    Ference holds degrees from Trenton State College in Industrial Technology
and from Drexel University in Architecture.  He is also a retired Captain of
the U.S. Naval Reserves.
