CORAL GABLES, Fla., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Ramsay Health Care, Inc.
(Nasdaq: RHCI) today announced that it prevailed in a four-year lawsuit,
brought by the company against the Missouri Department of Social Services and
has been awarded a cash judgement by the courts of the State of Missouri. The
courts ruled that Ramsay's Heartland Hospital in Nevada, Missouri had received
insufficient reimbursement from the Department of Social Services for
provision of behavioral care to Medicaid patients from 1990 to 1996. The
Company expects that this judgement, net of related costs, and after giving
effect to other corporate charges, will result in the recognition in its
second quarter of additional pre-tax income of approximately $2.4 million.
