Former Norwest Executive to Head Technology and Real Estate Services Units
CHICAGO, Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The combined Boards of Directors of
Chicago Title and Trust Co. (CT&T) and Chicago Title Insurance Co. (CTIC) have
elected Michael Keller executive vice president of both companies. The
announcement was made by John Rau, president and chief executive officer, CT&T
and CTIC.
Keller, formerly executive vice president of Mortgage Banking at Norwest
Mortgage Banking, Des Moines, Iowa, will head CT&T's technology and non-title
real estate services. Among the units that will report to Keller are CT&T's
recent real estate services acquisitions: National Flood Information Services
Inc., Credit Data Reporting Services Inc. and Market Intelligence Inc.
"Mike is a veteran leader in the real estate industry, having spent
22 years with Norwest's mortgage, consumer finance, insurance and banking
activities," said Rau. "His principal priority at CT&T will be to give us a
competitive capability to service national accounts; to integrate our non-
title businesses into the activities of our existing field organization; to
expand the range and volume of our non-title services; and to drive our
systems development priorities in accordance with our business and strategic
imperatives."
Since 1993, Keller has served as executive vice president of Norwest
Mortgage Banking with responsibility for the company's real estate loan
services group including Norwest's title agency, real estate software
subsidiaries, appraisal company, public records data vendor operation, on-line
employment verification/data vendor start-up and other programs.
From 1986 to 1993, he led the company's loan production effort. Prior to
that time, he was vice president, Home Office Administration, chief legal
counsel for Norwest Corp.'s non-bank subsidiaries in Minneapolis, director of
Leveraged Leasing for Norwest's Dial Financial subsidiary and Dial's associate
general counsel. He began his Norwest career in 1974.
Keller holds a juris doctor (1974) and a bachelor's degree (1970) in
education from the University of South Dakota at Vermillion.
