Allows PC DOCS Users To Access The Full Strength Of Fulcrum's Advanced
                Information Retrieval From The DOCS Open Client

    ORLANDO, FL, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ - Today at DOCSummit '97, Fulcrum
Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: FULCF;  TSE: FUL) announced that it will provide a
tight integration with DOCS Open from PC DOCS, Inc., to ensure that DOCS Open
customers have full access to the rich searching functionality of Fulcrum(R)
software from their own desktop.  Fulcrum will make use of the DOCS Open API
for information retrieval, to deliver Fulcrum's enriched retrieval totally
integrated into the DOCS Open product.

integration between DOCS Open and the Fulcrum product, the Fulcrum Bridge for
PC DOCS.  The Fulcrum Bridge for PC DOCS allows searching on the contents of
documents, as well as on the profiles of the documents, and provides all the
rich functionality of advanced information-retrieval software.  The product
provides features that are the hallmarks of sophisticated search software,
including:  stop words, relevance ranking, search-term highlighting, date and
numeric range searching, wildcard searching, term-variants, thesaurus,

    PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
    The Fulcrum integration with the PC DOCS client is slated to go into beta
testing in the second quarter of 1997.  Pricing will be announced closer to
product availability.  Customers will continue to have the option of providing
access to the Fulcrum Bridge for PC DOCS from a Fulcrum client, including
Fulcrum-enabled Web browser.
