SAN FRANCISCO, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Robertson, Stephens & Company has
announced that Steven R. Yanis will be joining the investment banking firm as
a managing director, senior wireless services research analyst and head of
telecommunications services research. He is working from the firm's New York
office.
Mr. Yanis was previously a director in Salomon Brothers' equity research
department where he was responsible for the wireless services industry. He
was recently ranked the #1 Wireless Services analyst in the 1997 Greenwich
Associates Institutional survey. In 1996, Mr. Yanis ranked as the #2 Wireless
Services analyst in the Institutional Investor Poll (All-American Research
Team) and as the #1 analyst in the Telecommunications Services Industry by the
Wall Street Journal's All-Star Analyst survey.

Prior to Salomon Brothers, Mr. Yanis was an analyst with Oppenheimer,

Cable Systems USA Partners, and USA Ventures, Ltd.
Mr. Yanis graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and holds
a MBA degree in Finance from New York University.
