why privacy and security will make or break Internet commerce
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- On July 24, 1997, The
Commonwealth Club, the largest and most prestigious public affairs speaking
forum in the United States and Niehaus Ryan Group, the public relations
agency synonymous with Internet commerce, will co-sponsor a panel discussion
entitled, "Privacy, Anonymity and Security: Who Holds the Keys?" to clarify
and address the confusion surrounding these issues.
The discussion will explore Internet privacy, anonymity and security from
all sides and will address why privacy and security will make or break
Internet commerce. Specifically, the panel will discuss how corporations

"Privacy and security are the most hotly debated Internet topics in the
private and public sectors and are perceived to be the biggest threat to
widespread Internet commerce," said Bill Ryan, chairman, Niehaus Ryan Group,
Inc. "These issues affect just about everyone from individual Internet users
to large corporations, employees to CEOs, regardless of industry."
