Fulcrum To Provide Both NT And UNIX Versions Of Datablade In First Release

      Fulcrum To Deliver UNIX And NT Versions Simultaneously, Building On
           Leadership In Robust Information Retrieval Software On NT

    SAN FRANCISCO, Informix Worldwide User Conference, July 23 /CNW-PRN/ -
Fulcrum Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: FULCF;  TSE: FUL) today announced that it
will embrace both the NT and UNIX versions of INFORMIX(R)-Universal Server,
including Sun Solaris and other UNIX platforms, in the first version of its
own DataBlade(R) module for full-featured information retrieval.  The
Fulcrum(R) DataBlade module is slated to be available for customer testing
this quarter.  In moving quickly to embrace Windows NT with its DataBlade
module, Fulcrum is building on the leadership it has established in offering
robust software for building knowledge management and information access
applications on NT.  Fulcrum is demonstrating its DataBlade module in its
booth at the Informix Worldwide User Conference, at the Moscone Center in San
Francisco (Booth 338).
