SAN DIEGO, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Alanex Corporation announced the
addition to its Board of Directors, of Timothy J. Rink, M.A., M.D., Sc.D.
Dr. Rink is a founder of Aurora Biosciences, an ultra-high throughput
screening technology company. Dr. Rink joined the company as Chairman, CEO,
and President in February, 1996. From 1990 to 1995, Dr. Rink was President
and Chief Technical Officer of Amylin Pharmaceuticals where he was
instrumental in growing the company from a start-up to over 170 employees
while advancing three compounds into clinical development during this time.
Prior to Amylin, Dr. Rink was Vice President of Research at SmithKline Beecham
Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Rink is on the Board of Directors of CoCensys, Inc., NPS
Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Gryphon Sciences and Ciphergen Systems, Inc.
