Adams Named Banc One's Chief Technology Officer
    COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Banc One Corporation (NYSE: ONE)
Marvin W. Adams has been named Banc One's first Chief Technology Officer, it
was announced by Richard D. Headley, Banc One Services Corporation Chairman
and CEO.
    Adams, 39, will manage Banc One Services Corporation's technology units,
including Advanced Technology, Systems Development, Distributed Computing,
Risk Management and Change Management.  He will also chair the Corporation's
Technology Council, which manages the development and implementation to
enterprise-wide technology standards.  Adams has served in technology
management roles at Xerox, IBM and Frontier Communications.  He has also
served as president of Banc One Financial Card Services Corporation, Banc
One's financial card processing subsidiary.
    As Chief Technology Officer, Adams will be responsible for assessing
external technology developments, and evaluating and integrating leading edge-
technologies into the Corporation's business and computing infrastructure.  He
will also manage the emergence of Banc One's electronic commerce initiatives,
including the Corporation's relationship with the EPS/MAC automated teller
network, and Integrion, the home banking consortium owned and operated by
15 banks and IBM.
    Adams earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and
systems science from Michigan State University.  He has served as a service
advisor to VISANet, and as part of MasterCard's Operations Committee.  He is
married and resides in Dublin, Ohio.
