network, GMAC Commercial Mortgage (GMACCM) has opened a new Miami, Florida,
loan production office.
    The new branch provides commercial mortgages and other real estate finance
related services to owners and developers of apartments, shopping centers,
healthcare projects, office buildings and other commercial properties.
    Managing the new operation is GMACCM Vice President John McLeod.  He is a
senior commercial real estate finance professional with expertise in many
forms of financing.  McLeod has produced, underwritten, closed and serviced
loans on all commercial property types in Florida.
    He joined GMACCM in August, following a successful 10-year career at First
Union National Bank, where he was a vice president responsible for loan
production and relationship management.  He has extensive experience in deal
structuring, underwriting, and negotiation, and was First Union's top loan
producer in 1996.
    McLeod is a member of the Board of Directors of the South Florida March of
Dimes, and was the chapter's Walk America Chairman in 1996 and 1997.  He also
serves as a volunteer for the Miami United Way and the Greater Miami Chamber
of Commerce.
