Agreement Addresses Enterprise Information Overload,

OTTAWA, CANADA, August 25 /PRNewswire/ - Fulcrum Technologies Inc.
(NASDAQ: FULCF; TSE: FUL) today announced that it has licensed intelligent
linguistic analysis technology from ERLI S.A., a company based in Paris,
France. Fulcrum(R) will use ERLI's technology to provide accurate concept
searches based on a multi-level linguistic analysis that understands the
intended meanings of search terms. Users will get results based on what they
actually mean, rather than unrelated meanings of search terms. Organizations
will also be able to create and refine a customized corporate lexicon, geared
to their own knowledge base.
Fulcrum will leverage ERLI's technology to deliver appropriate search
results to the appropriate audience. A computer hardware engineer searching
for information on ``drives'' is unlikely to want to see information on
automotive engineering or on golfing. This advanced capability will be of
particular value to enterprises using the Fulcrum Knowledge Network(TM) to
provide a single window of access into the numerous, ever-growing repositories
of information that knowledge workers are using. The key benefit is that
