ATLANTA, June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Pony Express Courier Corp. moved its
corporate headquarters from Charlotte, N.C. to Atlanta, Ga. on June 2, 1997.
The move brings the company's operation and senior management team, located in
Charlotte, together with the MIS and accounting team, residing in Atlanta.
The end result of the relocation is increased support and an enhanced
focus on the needs and priorities of all customers. Lower delivery costs are
an additional benefit for the Pony Express customer: by housing all
departments in one office, company expenses are reduced and the savings are
passed along to the customer. Donald G. Berger, Pony Express president, said,
"The combination of our operations and senior management team into one
location, with our MIS and accounting team, is vital to our future success in
serving our existing and potential customers. As a result of this move, we
will be quicker, better, and more efficient with regard to communicating
with our customers. Speed and quality, two of the primary ingredients in our
service package, will further improve now that we have come together." The
new headquarters, located at 6165 Barfield Road, Atlanta, encompasses
approximately 22,000 square feet of office space.
