RENO, Nev., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Reno Air, Inc. (Nasdaq: RENO, PCX: RNO)
today announced a load factor of 73.6% for the month of July, an increase of
2.6 load factor points over July, 1996. The airline carried a record 530,854
passengers, representing an increase of 11.6 percent over the same period last
year. During the month of July, Reno Air flew 311,859,740 revenue passenger
miles (RPMs) with a capacity of 423,629,221 available seat miles (ASMs).
"Our summer traffic continues to be strong, as reflected in our increased
load factor," said Reno Air President and CEO Robert Reding. "Traffic exceeds
projected levels to most of our destinations, and advance bookings are strong.
We're pleased that so many travelers have selected Reno Air as their airline
of choice, and we pledge to continue our low fares and high quality product,"

Reno Air celebrated its fifth anniversary on July 1, and currently serves
23 cities with nearly 200 daily scheduled departures. The addition of
Oklahoma City in mid-September will increase the number of cities served to
24. The carrier's fleet of 30 McDonnell Douglas MD-80 and MD-90 series jets
has an average age of less than seven years. Reno Air offers everyday low
