Timothy Williamson will Lead CIM Studio into Cyberspace

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Interactive Media (CIM) announced
today it will open an interactive studio in Pittsburgh. By developing unique
Web sites specifically geared toward the Pittsburgh area, CIM's Pittsburgh
Studio will foster community relationships on the Internet by providing
content tailored to the needs of online users in the community. The opening
marks the latest development in CIM's plan to open more than
20 additional studios in metropolitan areas across the country. To date, CIM
Studios have opened in Atlanta, Austin, San Francisco, Miami, West Palm Beach
and Dayton.
A multimedia marketing expert, Timothy Williamson is leading the
Pittsburgh Studio's efforts to create innovative Web sites. Williamson brings
to CIM a wealth of experience in developing and executing diversified
multimedia marketing campaigns. Prior to joining CIM, he founded Auducom
Productions, a consulting firm that provided video marketing strategies for a
variety of hospitality accounts and Fortune 500 companies. Williamson was
instrumental in the development of the Atlanta-based Website, Virtual Atlanta.
He was also an integral part of the management team that built Infovision, a
television and video marketing company that produced 10 infomercials and
generated $1.3 million in revenue during its first year of business.
Williamson graduated from Tulane University with a degree in finance.
"The Pittsburgh area is a perfect match for Cox Interactive Media," said
Peter Winter, president of Cox Interactive Media, headquartered in Atlanta,
Ga. "We look forward to working with our Cox partner in the city, WPXI
Channel 11, to produce unique city and specialty Web sites with dynamic and
robust content. We will provide Internet users in the Pittsburgh area with
information and services they will not be able to find anywhere else online."
"The Pittsburgh Studio will follow the Cox Interactive Media style of
producing city and specialty sites that build community and spark
interaction," said Williamson. "We will focus on developing content centered
around the great people and many diverse neighborhoods that make Pittsburgh
such a unique city. The content we produce will be helpful, entertaining, and
engaging -- all from a local perspective," he said.
Mark Barash, program director and operations manager of WPXI Channel 11,
is equally enthusiastic about having Cox Interactive Media in Pittsburgh. "We
see great synergy between our television station, our cable station, and now
our interactive studio. Having that resource to work with will benefit
clients and viewers in the Pittsburgh market," said Barash. "We hope to break
new ground in servicing our community through the use of our combined Internet
and television resources."
