PITTSBURGH, March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Pitt-Des Moines, Inc. (AMEX: PDM)
today announced the promotion of David Long to the position of President of
its wholly-owned subsidiary, PDM Strocal, Inc. (Strocal) of Stockton,
California, effective April 1, 1997.
In this capacity, David will have full responsibility for all operations
of Strocal, including the previously-announced new facility to be built at a
site in the Southwest.
David succeeds F.L. Long, who has been named chairman of Strocal.
Pitt-Des Moines, Inc. (PDM R) is a diversified engineering and
construction company that also processes and distributes a broad range of
carbon steel products. PDM has three business segments: the Engineered
Construction Division, Steel Construction and Steel Service Centers. PDM has
