VIENNA, Va., April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- GRC International (NYSE: GRH) today
announced it is one of two companies selected to support two multiple award
contracts recently issued by the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Program
Analysis & Evaluation). GRCI will provide technical support services for the
development and maintenance of the non-U.S. Conventional Forces Database and
the U.S. Conventional Forces Database. The two contracts have established
maximum values of $28 million and $60 million, respectively, for a combined
potential of $88 million for both companies.
    Under the terms of the contracts, GRCI will continue its work on
maintaining and developing systems and analytical tools that the Office of the
Secretary of Defense uses to assess the ways in which various levels of
foreign and domestic military capabilities might affect U.S. defense plans and
programs into the 21st century. Specifically, GRCI will provide advanced
analytical tools, database administration; database updates including data
verification and validation; research of other data sources; and data entry,
maintenance, retrievals, report generation, and data analyses. Information
resulting from these activities are applied by government analysts and GRCI
professional staff for a variety of high-level DoD planning and policy efforts
such as the Quadrennial Defense Review (a congressionally mandated examination
of the Department of Defense's strategy, force structure, modernization
efforts, and infrastructure) and associated future years' budgeting.
