SIOUX CITY, Iowa, April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Terra Nitrogen Company, L.P.
(TNCLP) (NYSE: TNH) today announced that a cash distribution of
$0.895 per common unit will be paid April 30, 1997 to common unitholders of
record as of April 18, 1997. This distribution is the second part of the cash
distribution announced in January, representing the balance of available cash
for the fourth quarter of 1996.
As of March 31, 1997 -- the conclusion of the three-month period during
which senior preference unitholders could convert their units into common
units in TNCLP -- 13,329,162 senior units had converted into common units.
These units, combined with the 5,172,414 common units held by the general
partner, Terra Nitrogen Corporation, bring the total number of common units in
the partnership to 18,501,576. The 307,202 senior preference units that did
not convert to common units will be redeemed on May 27, 1997 for $22.105 per
unit, which includes a $0.605 distribution per unit for the first quarter of
1997.
