NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- ARCO Chemical Company
(NYSE: RCM) announced that Edward V. Zenzola has been appointed President,
ARCO Chemical Asia Pacific (ACAP). Also, the ARCO Chemical Board today
approved the appointment of Mr. Zenzola as a Vice President of ARCO Chemical.
He replaces Peter C. Harris, who has undertaken an assignment to develop the
company's worldwide growth initiatives.
During his 27 years with ARCO Chemical, Mr. Zenzola has held a number of
significant positions in financial analysis, information systems, planning and
control. In 1991, he moved to Tokyo following his appointment as President,
ARCO Chemical Japan and Executive Vice President, Nihon Oxirane Company, a
joint venture. He was appointed Chairman, ARCO Chemical Japan and a Director
of Nihon Oxirane in 1993. At that time, he moved to the company's regional
headquarters office in Hong Kong to assume responsibility for ARCO Chemical's
Asian business management. Most recently, Mr. Zenzola, 54, had been Managing
Director, China Development, ARCO Chemical, with continuing responsibilities
for ARCO Chemical Japan.
Ed and his wife, Pam, reside in Hong Kong. He is an avid orchid grower
and is a member of the American Orchid Society.
