CHICAGO, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- EVEREN Securities, Inc. today announced
the appointment of a new manager of institutional sales/trading and two equity
analysts as part of the firm's continuing expansion and integration of its
research, trading, institutional sales and investment banking functions into
client-focused teams.
Robert E. Silver has joined EVEREN as senior vice president and manager of
institutional sales/trading. Also joining the firm are Frank J. Prezelski,
senior vice president and equity analyst in EVEREN's industrial/capital goods
practice, and Thomas W. Hensel, vice president and analyst in the firm's
technology practice.
"During the second and third quarters, we bolstered our targeted industry
practices with highly capable individuals and greatly strengthened our
institutional sales/trading team," said Edward E. Dunleavy, executive vice
president and co-director of EVEREN's equity capital markets group. "This
recruiting momentum already is paying off in terms of substantial gains in new
business."
Silver joins EVEREN from Lehman Brothers, where he was senior vice
president and head of sales trading in the Midwest. Previously, he was a vice
president in charge of sales trading at E.F. Hutton in Chicago. He began his
professional career as a sales trader with Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1982.
Silver holds bachelor's and master's degrees from West Virginia University.
Prezelski joins EVEREN from Ladenburg Thalmann, where he was managing
director and director of research. Previously, he was an analyst with
Rothschild, Inc., Deutsche Bank and Shearson Lehman Brothers. Prezelski
served in the U.S. Army and received a bachelor's degree from Columbia
University.
Hensel joins EVEREN from Furman Selz, where he was an equity analyst.
Prior to that, he was a program manager for Microsoft Corporation. Hensel
holds a bachelor's degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME.
