InsideCentralFlorida.com Creates Central Florida Community Dialogue

    ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Log on to InsideCentralFlorida.com
and find a web site that thrives on community dialogue to deliver not just
information, but an insider's perspective that enhances and facilitates
everyday living.
    The newest regional city site of the growing Cox Interactive Media
network, InsideCentralFlorida.com is a community-based city site focusing on
issues and topics of interest to Central Florida residents in a format that
emphasizes participation and interaction.
    "InsideCentralFlorida.com provides an insider perspective on what you need
to know to enjoy Central Florida," said Ray Peabody, city site manager of
InsideCentralFlorida.com. "The site will create a sense of community by
encouraging site visitors to share experiences and personal insights through
features such as live chats, hosted discussion and community-group
web sites."
    InsideCentralFlorida.com is building an on-line community of users in
Central Florida who are encouraged to voice opinions and offer their
perspective on everything from local politics to sports to lifestyle pursuits.
    The web site has been created in partnership with eight Cox affiliate
radio and television stations, including WFTV-TV Channel 9, 580 WDBO, Star
94.5, WHTQ, WMMO, K92 FM, WHOO, WZKD Radio AAHS and The New List, as well as
charter sponsors Orlando Regional Healthcare System and SouthTrust Bank.
    "Orlando is already on the map, but this puts the city and Central Florida
on the web," said David B. Lippoff, vice president and general manager for
WFTV Channel 9.  "It's literally one-stop shopping for people going on-line to
find out about what has happened or is going to happen in Central Florida."
    For ease of use, InsideCentralFlorida.com has created six content
channels:

    -- NEWS:  Updated throughout the day, the channel features interpretive
       reports on how topics of interest impact Central Florida residents.
       Site visitors are encouraged to consider a variety of news sources
       ranging from InsideCentralFlorida.com staff reports to those from WFTV
       Eyewitness News, 580 WDBO and The Associated Press.

    -- WEATHER:  Central Florida weather featuring live Doppler radar, five-
       day forecasts, severe-weather tips, weather by definition and a link to
       the affiliate Storm97 (http://www.storm97.com) web site, providing easy to use
       tracking maps, safety tips and meaningful, usable advice from weather
       authorities such as Channel 9's Dr. Robert Sheets, former director of
       the National Hurricane Center.

    -- LIFESTYLE:  Features home improvement suggestions, gardening tips from
       "The Garden Rebel," insider information on weekend vacation getaways,
       restaurant reviews, Fall television programming previews and coverage
       of health issues presented in partnership with Orlando Regional
       Healthcare System.  Also, InsideCentralFlorida.com is a partner with
       The New List, Central Florida's most comprehensive guide to new homes
