Southern California Wildfires Special Report, Profile of Keller Williams Realty Co-Founder Gary Keller Featured in Jan/Feb Issue of 'California Real Estate' Magazine

    LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Opportunity knocks in the
January/February 2004 issue of "California Real Estate" magazine, where the
California Association of REALTORS(R) (C.A.R.) research and economics team
examines market opportunities for REALTORS(R) in 2004.  The "Areas of
Opportunity" feature profiles first-time buyer, repeat buyer,
vacation/investment buyer and seller market segments, in addition to providing
an analysis of emerging market opportunities in the real estate industry.
    "California Real Estate" magazine, with a monthly circulation of more than
140,000, is the official publication of C.A.R.
    Also in the January/February issue, C.A.R. President Ann Pettijohn talks
about "Redefining the REALTOR(R) Family" in the wake of the Southern
California wildfires last year, including C.A.R.'s establishment of its
Disaster Relief Fund to help members and local association staff impacted by
the fires.  "The Disaster Relief Fund will remain in place to provide
assistance to others within our REALTOR(R) community who are affected by
future disasters," Pettijohn wrote.  "Through the fund, we have created a
living example of REALTORS(R)' generosity and willingness to assist our
colleagues, friends and communities."
    In addition, REALTORS(R) recall how they were affected by the wildfires
that ravaged Southern California in "When Disaster Strikes," while other
features focus on natural disaster prevention and preparation strategies.
    Also in the January/February issue, Keller Williams Realty co-founder Gary
Keller discusses his philosophy for the business.  The issue also takes a look
at C.A.R.'s various political action committees, as well as new laws affecting
consumers and the real estate industry in 2004.  Pasadena REALTORS(R) Michael
Darling and Catie Snider talk about taking a team approach in the First Person
feature.  The 2004 "C.A.R. at a Glance" brochure also is included with the
January/February issue of "California Real Estate" magazine.  This
