Solectron Announces Pricing of $500 Million Senior Notes Offering

    MILPITAS, Calif., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Solectron Corporation
(NYSE: SLR), a leading provider of electronics manufacturing and supply-chain
services, today said it has priced a public offering of $500 million of its
senior notes, maturing Feb. 15, 2009. The notes have a coupon rate of 9.625
percent annually. The issue price of the notes is 99.369 percent with the
first interest payment date of Aug. 15, 2002.

    This news release is neither an offer to sell nor a solicitation of an
offer to buy the senior notes. The notes will not be sold in any state or
