AG Communication Systems and Tone Commander Announce Product Interoperability for Hosted Call Center Solutions

PHOENIX, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- AG Communication Systems, subsidiary of
Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU), and Tone Commander Systems, a leading
manufacturer of ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) telephony products,
announced today they have successfully demonstrated product interoperability
between Tone Commander's 6200 Series ISDN phones and Lucent's ClientCare(TM)
Call Center after completing a rigorous series of tests.
ClientCare Call Center enables service providers to provide their
customers with the most advanced network-based call center solutions available
today. With ClientCare, enterprise customers get inbound call handling and
routing that can be blended with sophisticated outbound campaigns and a
comprehensive Internet Suite of services. The Internet Suite gives call
center agents the ability to simultaneously handle voice, e-mail, fax, chat,
call-back and call-through queries and to provide the same level of customer
support to e-commerce customers as traditional customers.
Tone Commander ISDN phones are available in 10- or 20-button versions,
with U or S/T ISDN network interfaces. All models can be upgraded with a
Model 6001TA TAPI interface to connect to the ClientCare PC desktop.
Automatic setup capability and simple programming makes the phones quick to
install, easy to use and simple to upgrade. The TAPI interface provides fully
integrated call control from the ClientCare application.
"This interoperability agreement packs a powerful cost-saving punch for
service providers and enterprise users," said Ken Arndt, vice president of
marketing at AG Communication Systems. "As a network-hosted solution,
ClientCare can save an enterprise 30 to 50 percent on its total cost of
ownership. What's more, because Tone Commander's ISDN phones are so widely
deployed, service providers can now more easily offer our call center
solutions to customers without the added cost of installing new phones."
"ClientCare Call Center is a perfect application to leverage the CTI
capabilities of Tone Commander's ISDN telephones," said Steve Hill, president
and chief executive officer of Tone Commander Systems. "It allows Centrex
ISDN customers access to a new generation of highly innovative call center
features."

Tone Commander Systems, located in Mukilteo, Wash., manufactures a
complete line of ISDN and VoIP telephones, ISDN NT1 network termination units
and Centrex attendant consoles. Additional information is available on the
