Ross Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROST) will report fourth quarter and fiscal 2001
results on Wednesday, March 13, 2002 in a press release to be issued at
approximately 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. A conference call is scheduled to
follow on the same date at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time to communicate additional
details concerning the quarter's results and management's future outlook.

-- August 2002 sales will be reported on Thursday, September 5, 2002
-- September 2002 sales will be reported on Thursday, October 10, 2002

-- November 2002 sales will be reported on Thursday, December 5, 2002
-- December 2002 sales will be reported on Thursday, January 9, 2003
-- January 2003 sales will be reported on Thursday, February 6, 2003
