AG Communication Systems Adds Two New Members to its Video Integration Partner Program

PHOENIX, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- AG Communication Systems, a subsidiary
of Lucent Technologies, announced today that it has added Midwest Visual
Communications and StorNet, Inc., to its Video Integration Partner (VIP)
program. This joint interoperability, marketing and reference-selling program
makes it easier and less expensive to implement powerful room-based video
networks for distance learning, remote arraignment, telemedicine and business
conferencing.
Member companies in the VIP program provide the end-to-end audio and video
components and professional services needed to deliver flexible and economical
high-quality video and data over an asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network.
Midwest Visual and StorNet join AAC Incorporated, Audio Video Recorders, Inc.,
CEAVCO Audio-Visual Company, Inc., Dascom Systems, Inc., Televideo San Diego
and The Whitlock Group as VIP program members.
With the video integration partners, AG Communication Systems gives
customers access to a host of complementary products that enable them to
deploy complete video solutions. All of the video integration partners are
knowledgeable of the company's ATIUM video product line and how it integrates
with audio, video and data equipment. These partners work closely with AG
Communication Systems' direct sales force and its major channel partners to
find the best video solutions available for customers.
AG Communication Systems' video products include ATIUM VIA 188(R), ATIUM
Time and ATIUM View. The ATIUM VIA 188 is a standards-based video codec
designed to interoperate with any ATM switch. ATIUM Time and ATIUM View
software make conference scheduling and element management simple through a
user-friendly browser or graphical interface.
The VIP program allows customers to choose the best products for their
needs from any one of several vendors that serve their geographic area. VIP
program partners ensure that all products have been tested for
interoperability, allowing customers to deploy end-to-end solutions quickly
and easily. Information about the current VIP program partners is available
