World Wrestling Entertainment Inc.'s Sunday Night Heat(R) Moving to TNN In April 2003

NEW YORK, March 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- World Wrestling Entertainment
Inc.'s (NYSE: WWE) Sunday night cable television mainstay, Sunday Night Heat,
will move to TNN on April 6, 2003, the network announced today. TNN will air
the program each Sunday from 7-8 pm (ET/PT).
Sunday Night Heat first premiered in August 1998, and began airing on MTV
in September 2000 as part of WWE's strategic alliance with Viacom. The debut
of WWE's Raw (the #1 regularly scheduled program on basic cable) and other WWE
programming on TNN in September 2000 propelled TNN into becoming one of the
country's top cable networks.
"We have developed a tremendous relationship with MTV through Sunday Night
Heat and WWE Tough Enough(R), and are pleased with the support that MTV has
provided to our programming," said Linda McMahon, WWE CEO. "However, moving
'Heat' to TNN is a wonderful opportunity to have all our regularly scheduled
cable programs on one network, which will be beneficial to us and to TNN.
Adding 'Heat' to the TNN line-up is consistent with TNN's demographic focus."
"The addition of Sunday Night Heat is a perfect fit for TNN's weekend
programming line-up of the best in male-oriented entertainment," says Albie
Hecht, President of TNN. "The WWE brings a unique brand of entertainment to
the network which resonates with our viewers, who actively seek this type of
non-stop, high-octane action."
As part of the move bringing Sunday Night Heat to TNN, WWE(R) will sell
the commercial advertising inventory for the program on the same basis that it
sells the commercial advertising inventory on the other WWE programming on
TNN: WWE Monday Night Raw(R) (Mondays, 9-11 pm (ET/PT); WWE Velocity(R)
(Saturdays, 10-11 pm ET/PT); and WWE Confidential(R) (Saturdays, 11-12 pm
ET/PT). WWE also sells the advertising time for its syndicated programs
WWE: The Bottom Line(R) and WWE AfterBurn(R).
TNN also announced a WWE Sunday night live special on TNN -- WrestleMania
Third-Degree Live(R) -- that will air on the network on March 23, 2003, from
9-10 pm (ET/PT). Featured in the special will be WWE Superstars Hulk
Hogan(R), Triple H(R) and Stone Cold Steve Austin(R), and WWE Chairman Vince
McMahon.
TNN is available in 86 million homes and is a division of MTV Networks.
MTV Networks owns and operates the cable television programming services
MTV: Music Television, MTV2, Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite, TV Land, VH1,
CMT: Country Music Television, and The New TNN, as well as The Digital Suite
from MTV Networks, a package of thirteen digital services, all of which are
trademarks of MTV Networks. MTV Networks also operates and offers joint
ventures, licensing agreements and syndication deals whereby its programming
can be seen worldwide.
