American Medical Systems (Nasdaq: AMMD), the leading independent

at the Banc of America Securities Healthcare 2001 Conference to be held at the
Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev. AMS's presentation, scheduled for
Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at 8:05 a.m. PST (10:05 a.m. CST), will be Webcast
live on the Internet. Douglas W. Kohrs, president and chief executive officer
will give the presentation, which will address the market for urological
medical devices, the incidence rates of urological disorders and the AMS
product portfolio in each of the company's business segments (incontinence,
erectile dysfunction and prostate disease), including the status of products
in development. Mr. Kohrs and Greg Melsen, vice president-finance, treasurer
and chief financial officer, will participate in a question-and-answer
session.
