| Triton PCS Signs Joint Marketing Agreement With AG Communication Systems To Offer ROAMEO(R) Wireless Office Phone System |
PHOENIX, April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- AG Communication Systems, a subsidiary of Lucent Technologies, and Triton PCS (Nasdaq: TPCS), the first member of the AT&T Wireless Services network of affiliates, have signed a joint marketing and referral agreement that enables Triton PCS to market the ROAMEO(R) wireless office phone system to its customers. Triton PCS will market ROAMEO in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and northeastern Tennessee where it operates a digital wireless network. Triton PCS will offer its customers the ROAMEO system for their in-building wireless needs. AG Communication Systems will provide turnkey sales, installation and maintenance support for customers. The synergy provides customers complete mobility inside and outside of their offices by integrating office and wireless voice communications. The system allows users to make and receive calls and utilize all the features of their office phones (such as call transfer and forwarding, 4- or 5-digit dialing, and three-way calling) with a wireless phone anywhere in a building or campus environment. Calls within range of the system incur no per-minute airtime charges. Subscribers can use the same handset in the external wireless environment, giving them "one-number-reaches-you-anywhere" convenience.
