Best in Class for Central Office Equipment for the third year in a row at its
annual Suppliers of Excellence awards ceremony in Vancouver, British Columbia.
BC TEL honors suppliers that score over 90 percent in each of four categories
-- product quality, consistency in meeting delivery deadlines, customer
service and competitive pricing. The Canadian telephone company designates
the supplier that receives the highest overall rating as "Best in Class."
AG Communication Systems won the award for its GTD-5(R) EAX family of
scalable, digital telecommunications switching products. The GTD-5 EAX
supports local and long distance voice and data traffic, Internet access,
wireless and multimedia service. GTD-5 switches range from a remote line unit
with 768 lines to a 150,000-line switch. The systems' modular design, low
operating costs and high reliability make them ideal for communications
service providers.
