Solectron Announces Supply-Chain Services Agreement With ADC

 Solectron Chosen as Manufacturing and Repair Services Provider for the Cuda
                            12000 IP Access Switch

    MILPITAS, Calif., June 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Solectron Corporation
(NYSE: SLR), a leading provider of electronics manufacturing and supply-chain
management services, said today it has been selected by ADC (Nasdaq: ADCT) to
provide manufacturing services for its Cuda 12000 Cable Modem Termination
System (CMTS).  The Cuda 12000 is used by cable and broadband network
providers to deliver carrier-class, high-speed IP services over cable
networks.

    Under the two-year agreement, Solectron will provide new product
introduction (NPI), printed circuit board assembly, full-systems build,
systems integration, burn-in, upgrade and repair services for the Cuda 12000.
Solectron will provide these services at its Westborough, Mass. facility,
where it currently provides similar services to ADC.  Financial details were
not disclosed.

    The Cuda 12000 is a next generation, carrier-class, IP-Intelligent CMTS

cable operators.  According to the Dell'Oro Group, ADC had the largest
increase in both market share and in CMTS unit revenue in Q4 2001 -- an
indication of the industry's widespread acceptance of the Cuda 12000.
