| Crown Sells Retail Facilities |
BALTIMORE, July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Crown Central Petroleum Corporation
("Crown") recently concluded the sale of more than 150 gasoline stations and
convenience stores located in Maryland and Virginia to Petroleum Marketing
Investment Group, LLC ("PMIG"), which is affiliated with Petroleum Marketing
Group, Inc. ("PMG"), a regional multi-branded petroleum distributor with
operations in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. In conjunction with
the sale, PMIG entered into a long-term license agreement with Crown that
enables the facilities to continue utilizing the "Crown" brand and trademarks.
The Virginia locations will be operated by E&C Enterprises, Inc., another
affiliate of PMG. The Maryland locations will continue to be operated by
independent dealers.
Upon consummation of this transaction, Crown has completed the sale of
substantially all of its retail marketing facilities.
